It’s been a #challengingjourney seeking to understand the #secretsofsuccess on Pinterest that others have so often blogged about. In my pursuit of this knowledge, I read many articles, #blogposts, #ebooks but eventually came across one article on #Quora which made the difference and pretty much set me off in the right direction.
If you are interested in increasing #monthlyviewers, #monetizing from Pinterest, and driving #traffic towards your #blog or #website then this article will definitely help you get there! I can share with you from my own learning and experience how to grow your #monthlyviewership which in-turn will increase the number of clicks on your pins which will in due time convert into a source of revenue for yourself. Your focus and attention though should be on the #engadedaudience which can be seen from the #analytics and not so much on the #monthlyviewersonPinterest.
But first, a big shout-out to these following talented and delightful folks🙌 Lindsay Shearer, Kim Garst, Alisa Meredith, and Jeff Sieh for providing great encouragement through knowledge empowerment and also hosting awesome and rewarding webinar experiences. Let’s get started! Here’s the link to convert your Personal Pinterest Profile to a Free Business Profile. You can switch between profiles whenever you want to. You can link up to four Business profiles and switch in-between. If you don't have a Pinterest account, here's the link to signup!
I converted my Personal Pinterest Account to a Business Profile roughly about 9 months ago - around April 2019. In under a year, I went from 0k monthly viewers to 100k monthly viewers. As of now, February 14th, 2020, I have reached 107.4k monthly viewers and 3.71k engaged audience. It was a huge MILESTONE for me as you can imagine and as much as I hate to say it myself - this is actually only the beginning stage of the journey😅 The challenge now is to sustain the growth hopefully by 2x and increase the click rate.

"Let's dig a little deeper into the approach I took and how the three points mentioned above become relevant"
I had to join different Group Boards as a result of the various products I was promoting and spent a long duration navigating through Pinterest to achieve this, so here (below) is how I proceeded.
Login into your Pinterest Business Profile or switch between profiles from your Personal Account. Search Pinterest and request to join or follow Group Boards that are aligned with the products or associated blog posts that you are promoting i.e travel, blogging, health & fitness, food, technology, etc.
Start adding followers manually as you need to get to 200 followers before you can join a Group Board. Take this approach moderately and spread it over a period of time, that way you adhering to Pinterest Best Practice. During this period you can also signup with Tailwind, join Tribes, and start sharing your Contagious, Mind-blowing, and Breath-taking images. Notice that I bold-highlighted those three words🤔 you got to bring your A-Game🧐
Type in the search field: fitness, select 👉 fitness goals
Once the search has filtered through, click on All Pins and select 👉 Boards
Look for two types of Boards
Boards with the little circular icons in the corner. Click on the board's name (Fitness Goals) and if there’s a join button - request to join m👍 then click follow;
Boards with a high number of pins👌 👀 examples and steps below 👍
Some Group Boards don’t have the "join group" option, the owner will leave a note requiring you to;
Message him/her on Pinterest so that they can invite you. Click on the circles and they will expand revealing member details of that group. 👀 see the explanation and steps in the image below. 👍 You are also allowed to contact any other member of that group by sending him/her a message requesting that they invite you.
Send an email requesting access to that specific board.
Request access via a website by completing a submission form👊
Important: Read the RULES of the group if any - agree to abide by them and you will be fine.
Some group boards contain Sections, a similar context would be categorized folders. You can only pin an image to a section natively using Pinterest. This function is not supported by Tailwind or any other scheduling tool. Sections are good to have if you a drill sergeant 👮♂️ who likes everything to be in order. Sections are however not mandatory and don't have an impact on how Pinterest indexes content.
From the information shared above; you now understand the importance of Group Boards and how to go about Searching and Joining the appropriate ones for your niche. If you have any questions; reach out to me via my website or my Pinterest Profile.

“Collaborate 🤝 Your Tribes”
Collaboration with other Tribe members is essential for success with Tailwind. There is no doubt that this is the most powerful feature as it yields super-fast results in less time, so upgrade to the PlusPlan for a greater chance of success and receive $15 when you signup!
We will use an example from the Tribes I joined to explain in layman's terms the relevant display indicators and their function. You can also hover over those indicators and information will be highlighted for you. Next, we will focus on how do we go about collaborating with other Tribe members. The Tribes feature has a very intuitive interface, in other words user-friendly.
There are Two Ways of collaborating with Tribe Members which will be explained next. The principal is the same, just a different approach. First, we dive a little deeper into the following dashboard indicators New, Yours, and See More which are points (4), (5), and (6) in the image above.
New (0) - here you will find all new images posted by your Tribe members. Select or click on this indicator, navigate to the most desirable image you want to share and schedule. I will explain to you further down just how easy it is to schedule a pin from Tribes to Pinterest.
Yours (32) - here you will find all the images that You have posted to that Tribe.
See More - a combination of all the Pins that You re-shared and all Pins shared to that Tribe just categorized.
“Collaboration 🤝 with Tribe Member Part 1”
Let's select the Tribe Fashion, Beauty, Style (hosted by SipBiteGo.com) as our walk-through example for scheduling a Pin. As you can see from the (image-below), in just four easy steps we were able to re-share a New Pin from the dashboard indicator section New(28219) 👀 see the explanation and steps in the image below.
“Collaboration 🤝 with Tribe Member Part 2 ”
We will remain with the same Tribe Fashion, Beauty, Style (hosted by SipBiteGo.com) as our walk-through example for scheduling a Pin from the dashboard indicator Yours(56) 👀 see explanation and steps in the image below.
“Share📸"
In the examples above we only covered sharing content to Pinterest, however, the principle is the same for Instagram and Facebook. The sharing though only counts once the content has been published to the relevant social media platforms
After we selected and added the three Pins to the "Queue in Tribes, they will appear in Scheduler ready to be published to the appropriate Pinterest Group Boards. 👀 see explanation in the image below.
Grow 📊
To conclude this article I will briefly explain SmartLoops and highlight some benefits why this feature is essential for Pinterest Growth.
Important Note: The average success of Tailwind Plus Plan members was compared to those who signedup for Tailwind but never upgraded. Results can be found here under the Typical Results Section.
As of today, February 23rd, 2020, my Pinterest Profile has grown by 36.5K monthly viewers which brings the total to 143.9k. The engaged audience has grown by 1.37k which brings the total to 5,08k. As you can see that in just over a week there has been phenomenal growth.
"SmartLoops"
SmartLoops is a simple yet affective feature for adding a collection of Pins to a loop to be automatically distributed over a period of time. This feature identifies the best times to publish Pins and spaces scheduling times appropriately ensuring Pinterest Best Practices adhere too.
Tailwind recommends the following Best Practices be considered when scheduling a loop.
Topics you pin about: like Loops for Dinner Recipes, Vegan Recipes, and Dessert Recipes Seasons and holidays: like Loops for your Summer, Thanksgiving, or Easter Pins
Boards you want to keep active: like Loops for Pins to post to your Group Boards
There are two types of loops that can be created.
Evergreen Loops - will reshare your Pins indefinitely all year round. Seasonal Loops - choose which dates you want to start and end each year. SmartLoop will automatically Loop your Pins only during this selected time frame every year.
"Benefits"
Eliminate mundane tasks by scheduling automated loops once which are aligned with Best Practices.
Pins are scheduled and published at Best Times ensuring maximum reach allowing rapid growth to unfold.
Organize and categorize your Pins by creating separate categorized loops for different occasions and growing in those niches.
"Successfully Grow more Pinterest Traffic with SmartLoops"
Sharing is Caring 😊
